Join us for a webinar on "Turning Breakdowns into Breakthroughs", focused on helping international students learn how to embrace challenges and transform them into opportunities for growth. We’re lucky to have this webinar led by @payal, a former international student and founder of “Vibe Check”.

Payal moved from India 🇮🇳 to New York City in 2017 to study as an international student at Baruch College, where she majored in finance and minored in communications.

As a young South Asian woman, she found herself constantly overwhelmed by the pressure of “not doing enough” and enduring self-doubt as an international student. Despite her efforts, she continued to feel that way and had a hard time prioritizing herself over others. However, despite these challenges, Payal persevered, determined to carve out her place in the world.

By finding her place on campus through clubs and organizations, and landing internships,  such as a role as a Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual - Payal found ways to overcome some of the difficulties she’d initially dealt with. She’ll be sharing her learnings, focusing on ways to embrace one's unique background and skills, living in the present while working towards goals, and fostering connections within communities. 

Payal is currently on the operations team of a startup in the climate change industry, as well as the founder of “Vibe Check," a platform dedicated to fostering human connections and combating the pervasive issue of loneliness in today's digital age. With a focus on community building and social enrichment, Payal is working to ensure that no one feels alone in a world that thrives on connection.
